Holly Barrón

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Holly is originally from Enid, Oklahoma, and met her husband Luke in high school in 1998.  They were married in 2005 one week after Holly graduated from Oklahoma State University with an Honors Degree in Human Development and Family Science, Child and Family Services.

Holly loved working as an Honors Academic Advisor at OSU and as a Youth Ministry Coordinator at St. Monica in Edmond.  However, nothing could compare to being the mom of Keaton, Reid, Holden, and Conley.  They are her greatest accomplishment and her greatest joy.

Holly enjoys running/walking with friends, OSU sports, the OKC Thunder, and anything chocolate.  She is thankful for the miracles she has seen in her life but misses Keaton every second of every day.  It is a great honor for her to carry on his brilliant legacy through the K Club.

ABBIE CONWAY

PRESIDENT

Abbie grew up in the Dallas area where she met her husband, Matt. Abbie attended Oklahoma State University and earned her Bachelors in Marketing and a minor in Apparel Merchandising. She’s had jobs in retail management and golf course event planning and management, but she traded all of that in when she became a mom.

Matt and Abbie have three children, Brendan, Kelsey and Joshua. Abbie stays busy taking care of her family and being a taxi driver to all their activities. She also is an Arbonne Independent Consultant and a substitute teacher at her kids school, which usually feels like a full-time job!

Aside from her wife and mom duties, Abbie enjoys DIY projects around her house, being at the lake, water skiing, wake surfing, snow skiing, and working out. She is very involved in her church and loves being part of a community that loves Jesus. She also plays Bunco once a month with the most fun group ever!

She enjoys volunteering and loves the K Club mission. She has a heart for pediatric cancer patients and their families and wants to make a small difference in their lives.

Luke Barrón

VICE PRESIDENT

As an Air Force brat, Luke grew up in many different locations.  His father's career brought him to Enid, Oklahoma, in 1998 where he met his future wife, Holly.  He studied business at Oklahoma State University and has worked in restaurants for over 25 years.  He is currently an Area Director of Operations for Meritage Hospitality Group.

Being a father is the best "job" Luke can imagine. Keaton was Luke's "mini me," and he could not have asked for a better son, who was just like him in so many ways.  Luke spends the majority of his time wrestling and playing with Keaton's brothers, Reid, Holden, and Conley, enjoying every moment of being their dad.

Luke enjoys playing and watching all sports (except hockey because, well, it's hockey!), playing the piano, golfing as much as possible, and spending time with his family.

Luke is honored and excited to use the K Club to spread kindness, compassion, courage, and caring in Keaton's name.  He will do whatever it takes to continue the legacy that his amazing son began.

Kay Tangner

SECRETARY

Kay is a born and bred Texas girl.  She was born in Corsicana and grew up in Abilene.  Her husband, Skip, is a Veterinary Surgeon and her son works for A Cell.  They love Willard, their therapy dog, and enjoy taking him on vacation and to visit patients in Children’s Hospital.  Texas A&M is Kay's alma mater.

Kay is a country girl with a creative side. She loves Jesus, flower gardens, photography, Maui, journals, vintage-y anything, quotes, July 4th, birthday parties, and genuine people with a passion for living and serving.

Volunteering in the Jimmy Everest Cancer Center Art Room for the past 25 years has allowed Kay the honor of meeting many heroes and inspirational families. Being a counselor at Camp Cavett is her summer highlight each year.  She has served on various boards including Oklahoma Children’s Cancer Association, Oklahoma City Beautiful, and Cavett Kids.

Kay's most difficult accomplishment was completing the Honolulu Marathon with the Leukemia Team in Training.

cHRIS SCOTT

TREASURER

Chris was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma.  He met his wife Brooke at a youth group event on the last day of their junior year of high school, dated for five years, and were married in 2007.  Chris enjoyed five fantastic years at Oklahoma State University where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting.

Chris and Brooke have two wonderful kiddos, Addi and Austen.  Chris works as a Controller for Mammoth Energy.  While the Scott family prefers to be in the mountains, Oklahoma will always be home.  Chris loves spending time with his family, rooting for the Pokes, and occasionally sneaking away to hang out with his buddies.

He is honored to be a part of an incredible organization that has such a passion for showing kindness to others.  While Chris never had the privilege of meeting Keaton, he knows that he was an amazing young man based on the life that he led and the legacy that he left.
